Hey! Last Thursday I mentioned that I’m kicking off a 12 week personal wellness challenge ending right around Thanksgiving–#gratiFIT
My ultimate goal is to build healthy habits which will turn into a lifestyle change that sticks. I was thinking about how to begin–do I labor through a juice fast? do I go no-carbs? should I do a special diet? And then I realized, that there’s already a plan right in my book. Fitness Coach Charles “Chuck” Morris had a significant impact on me when I began my weight loss journey (I share a few funny stories about my encounters with Coach Chuck in the book…he’s hilarious and an all around amazing person).
He wrote a chapter in my book on nutrition and exercise. Coach Chuck provides a plan that anyone can use no matter what your fitness level is. I’ll follow this road map over the next 4 weeks–you’ll have to purchase the book for the other tips he wrote about which are amazing;-) I’m testing this plan out for the first time myself, so I’m interested in what you think. Here it is:
Week 1: Get started with just 10 minutes a day.
- Stretch 5 mins
- Complete the following rotation:
- 10 squats
- 10 push-ups
- 10 leg lifts
- 45-second break
- Repeat this as many times as you can for 5 mins
